Impact Matters Ltd (“Impact Matters”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through impactmatters.nz and in the course of our work, how we use it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect
- Contact form: your first and last name, business name, business email, LinkedIn profile, the service you are interested in, and anything you tell us in your message.
- Mailing list sign-up: your first name and email address, and a record of your consent.
- Booking a call: if you book through our Calendly scheduler, the details you enter there (such as your name, email address and any notes) and the time you choose.
- Emails and calls: information you give us when you contact us directly or engage us as a client.
- Technical information: when you use the website, our systems and service providers may automatically record information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, mainly for security and spam protection. See our Cookie Policy.
You do not have to give us your personal information, but if you don’t we may not be able to respond to your enquiry or provide our services.
How we use it
- to respond to your enquiry and arrange meetings;
- to provide, manage and invoice our services if you become a client;
- to send you our newsletter, tips and insights, only if you have opted in;
- to protect the website from spam and misuse; and
- to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Email marketing
We only send marketing emails to people who have consented, in line with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007. When you join our mailing list you will be asked to confirm your subscription by email. Every email we send includes a working unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@impactmatters.nz.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website and our business. They only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., USA): mailing list and newsletters;
- Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA): call scheduling;
- Google reCAPTCHA (Google LLC, USA): spam protection on our forms;
- Postmark (ActiveCampaign, USA): delivery of emails sent by the website;
- our website hosting and IT support providers.
Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand. Where we send personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected in a way that is comparable to the Privacy Act 2020. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Storage and security
Contact form submissions are stored securely in our website and email systems. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, by contacting hello@impactmatters.nz. We will respond within 20 working days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page.
